There are several factors that affect our ability to service and maintain our portable restroom units when they are at a site. Here are some important aspects of what we do, and how we can work together to continue to provide excellent service!
Proper Portable Restroom Placement
As soon as you and our sales representative determine which portable restroom in our inventory is the best for your needs, whether you are hosting a large event or a small one, the next step is figuring out where on your site we will place the unit. This is important because the placement of your portable restroom will determine how quickly and efficiently we will be able to access that unit and service it.
A portable restroom unit, whether it is a single portable restroom unit or a larger restroom trailer, needs to be accessible from the road by our service truck. There is no way to service the portable restroom if this can’t be done! As long as our trucks can pull within 20 feet of your portable restroom, the truck can adequately pump the unit for you in a little as 3 minutes! This means we’re always able to get your portable restroom cleaned, sanitized, and restocked easily and swiftly so that you can get back to using it.
Once we have established the perfect spot for your portable restroom rental, our service technicians will be sure to take photos of that designated spot and update our team in all departments so that we all know exactly where we’re going and how to get there. It’s a win-win!
Avoid Relocating Your Portable Restroom
Because of the importance of being able to access your portable restroom rental for service, it is also imperative that you don’t move your portable restroom rental on your own once it has been placed. Personal relocation of our portable restroom units is discouraged for several reasons.
When we place a portable restroom on-site, our service technicians are specifically trained in how to handle, move, and place the units using our own equipment. Part of the technician’s job is to be extra careful so that nothing is damaged or mishandled during installation. Often, if there is an attempt to move one of our portable restroom units independently, the result is damage to the equipment or relocation to a place that we cannot access – neither of which helps us help you!
When we place a unit we also look for sturdy ground, even terrain, and a hard surface so the trucks and units have a solid place to sit. If there are areas of a site that may be or become saturated with heavy rainfall, rough terrain, or are surrounded by physical obstacles, our trained professionals know exactly what to avoid and what to look for during placement.
If you DO find that you’ve changed your mind about the placement of your portable restroom or bathroom trailer, we strongly recommend that you do not relocate your portable toilet unit on your own. Trust us – there is a reason we do what we do! Moving our equipment when you are not trained specifically to do it can lead to damage to the unit, and be very unsafe. Part of our job is to do our best to protect the safety of our employees, units, and of course – you. This is why we ask that if your portable toilet needs relocating, you notify a member of our Customer Service Team. We will work with you to relocate the unit to ensure proper placement and accessibility, and promise you’ll be happy with the new placement.
Signed Damage Waivers for Your Protection and Ours
At A Royal Flush, we know that accidents do happen, try as we might to avoid them. It is for this reason that we created a special kind of protection plan for YOU! We offer, and highly recommend, the extra protection and security of a Damage Waiver for your portable toilet rental.
Sometimes damage does happen, because of circumstances outside of our clients’ control. We understand this and have put together an easy add-on waiver to help. This waiver protects our clients from the additional costs of unexpected damage to our portable bathroom rentals. It provides comprehensive help and support for both of us so that we can repair any damage to our units, and you can continue to get exceptional products and services from us!
Don’t Dispose of Trash in Portable Bathrooms
We take very good care of all of our equipment at ARF. The service equipment that we use to pump out your portable restroom units is specifically designed to handle human waste and toilet paper only. These equipment systems can easily be damaged or clogged by foreign substances – and no one wants that! Many people are aware of best practices for the safest and most environmentally friendly ways to dispose of waste in their homes, and it is best to keep this in mind when using portable bathrooms and restroom trailers as well.
It is helpful to know what cannot be placed inside the toilet of your portable restroom rental. Plastic bottles, large paper products, food containers, cardboard boxes, and other items you might normally place in a recycling or trash receptacle will make service difficult – and sometimes impossible. We recommend thinking of your portable toilet rental unit the same way you would think of your own restroom at home – anything that might clog your toilet at home will likely clog our equipment, too.
Encouraging your guests, or your employees who may be using the units to be conscientious of this is helpful and will ensure the best service possible, and avoid damage to our equipment.
Easy Accessibility of Your Portable Bathroom
Very often, we work with properties that have exceptional security at their location. Sometimes these properties have accessibility prohibitors including gate codes. In some cases, these businesses place keys or locks on portable bathroom rentals to ensure safe and limited use to their own employees and not the general public. We completely understand this, and want to work with you to ensure your comfort level and our ability to provide exceptional customer service meets in the middle.
We always recommend using locks with codes that can be shared rather than keys. If you feel strongly about locking your portable restroom, we have found that the easiest way to share accessibility with our service technicians is by using a lock with a numbered code on it rather than a lock with a key that can be lost. It is much harder to pass along a key than to share a code. This is another way in which we can work together to provide fast and efficient service and keep our portable restroom rentals safe!
If your property or properties use locked gates or other security measures to ensure safety, the same goes for those locks. We completely understand that desire for security – and we want you to feel comfortable trusting us to have access to your property so that we can perform our service quickly and without interruption to your day-to-day business. Have a Reliable Contact Person for Your Rental Site
For every single job, we ideally have a reliable contact person at that site or venue. In the event of an obstacle of any kind that may arise while attempting to service your portable restrooms, having a reliable and available contact person on site is key.
This person ideally can be reached by phone, and has access to your site and our portable bathroom rentals if either of those are locked. This person should also be aware of any obstacles that might be in the way of servicing our portable restroom rentals and have the means to help alleviate anything impeding our ability to complete our job. Sometimes the point of contact on a job will change as often as every single day! This is no problem at all, a quick call or email to your Sales Representative with that updated information will ensure our continued success working together throughout the duration of your portable restroom rental.
